Sydney Penny (2000) is a Korean-American soprano from Boston, Massachusetts. Her performance work includes: Ariana in Monteverdi’s “Lamento D’Ariana” (Opernschule HfM Würzburg) world-premiere opera NIGHTTOWN (Benjamin Perry Wenzelberg), soloist for the Oratorienchor Würzburg’s 2024 memorial concert “No Peace without Remembrance”, Despina in the renowned Mozartfest Würzburg annual concert series (scenes); other roles include Helena in Purcells The Fairy Queen (Rheinsberg Kammeroper), Papagena in Mozarts Die Zauberflöte (Berlin Opera Academy), Madame Herz in Mozarts Der Schauspieldirektor and Bubikopf in Ullmann’s Der Kaiser von Atlantis (Opernschule HfM Würzburg).
